The ioPROXY module provides an advanced SIP Registrar and provisioning firewall on the ioTRAN Cloud Communications Platform (ioPLATFORM). The ioTRAN Hosted PBX, UCaaS, and communications platform supports registering many SIP-based devices. To protect the core Cloud Communications Platform from unauthorized devices and rouge software, ioPROXY thoroughly interrogates any device that attempts to gain access.

The ioPROXY module is crucial in ensuring overall SIP security and is closely integrated with the ioPLATFORM to simplify administration. Moreover, it offers protection against mass storm registration in case of an Internet DNS outage.
