Description

The ioREDIRECTOR module provides 302 Redirection features on the ioTRAN Cloud Communications Platform with class 5 Softswitch replacement and Functionality (ioPLATFORM).  For larger applications where Session Border Controllers (SBCs) are utilized and require 302 redirections, the ioREDIRECTOR module provides this integrated functionality for maximum flexibility. 

This module is most often used in combination with Session Border Controllers (SBCs). Though it may be advantageous to limit the number of inbound traffic providers, the capabilities and pricing requirements could dictate the addition of multiple carriers which in turn require more management and control. In addition, the number of access devices may require many instances of ioSWITCH edge servers to handle the combined calls and traffic. The ioDIRECT module will help simplify the routing of inbound calls and day-to-day management. With the use of Session Border Controller (SBC) applications, the ioREDIRECTOR module can support standard 302 redirections for simplified integration.
