Description
The ioRECORDING module for the ioTRAN Cloud Communications Platform, a Class 5 Softswitch replacement, provides recording on inbound and outbound calls from PBX extensions, SIP Trunks, and Residential/Single line accounts. Many companies and organizations in the financial, medical, legal, government, and IT service sectors require that voice communications and calls between their customers be documented and recorded for both training and legal purposes. With the ioRECORDING module, this feature is easy to perform on any individual PBX extension, SIP TRUNK, or Single-Line account.
ioRECORDING module integrates with the following modules:
- ioPBX – Integrated PBX functionality module
- ioRESIDENTIAL - Integrated single line/residential service functionality module
- ioVIRTUAL- Integrated Virtual extension service functionality module
- ioTRUNK - Integrated SIP Trunki service functionality module
When calls are recorded, they are searchable by time and date stamps. In addition, providers and their customers can download the recordings for permanent offsite archival. Below are additional parameters accessible via the ioPLATFORM system portal:
- Amount of calls recorded
- Origination number of call
- Destination number of call
- Direction of call
- Combined and individual file size
- Email notifications
- Start/Stop control
- Optional Call Recording Probe available to record transferred calls
The amount of dedicated and available storage and archival period is managed and controlled by the administrator.
In addition, ioRECORDING can assist in CALEA (Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act) legal wiretapping applications.
