Description
The ioVIRTUAL module provides Virtual hosted PBX and Residential extensions on the ioTRAN class 5 Softswitch (ioPLATFORM). Virtual hosted PBX services allow a user to be part of the PBX without requiring a physical sip phone registration, instead, the extension uses call forwarding to an external number such as a cellular phone. This allows the user to be mobile or located offsite from their company. The same is true for virtual Residential users who utilize a cellular device as their home phone but prefer a different number to be called. In both scenarios, outbound calls are performed on their cellular phone or externally called device.
ioVIRTUAL module integrates with the following modules:
